Individuals are employed for instructional technology projects in a number of different ways. Below you can find information pertinent to your position, including copies of forms, payroll deadlines and job information.
Hourly employees are appointed to perform projected-related tasks. They do not receive benefits, and must submit timesheets for payment.
Payroll is processed twice a month: the 1st - 15th and the 16th - end of month. You will be required to fill out a timesheet to be paid for any hours worked. Keep in mind that you must work the number of hours/week your faculty supervisor has arranged. All timesheets require both your signature and your supervisor’s signature. You must have both to be paid. After obtaining the proper signatures, timesheets must be submitted to the LAITS office in MEZ 2.302 for payment.
In order to process timesheets before the payroll deadline, all signed timesheets are to be submitted by noon on the first business day after close of a pay period. Below please find the payroll schedule for the upcoming weeks:

*Timesheets due at 5:00 PM for end-of-semester payment processing
Below is a copy of the hourly timesheet. Please ensure your timesheet has your name, EID, department, project title (in subdivision field), and the pay period date.
Graduate Assistants are salaried employees who are hired to work on instructional technology projects over a semester or more. If you have been hired as a GA, your pay will be processed automatically, and you will not need to submit timesheets.
Graduate Assistants employed at least 20 hours/week receive health insurance benefits and in-state tuition entitlement during the period of appointment. However, tuition costs will be the responsibility of the student. Keep in mind that a GA position is not equivalent to an AI/TA position, so it does not carry the same benefits (e.g. no tuition coverage, no summer insurance eligibility).
To be employed as a Graduate Assistant, a student must be registered for 9 credit hours during the long semesters, or 3 credit hours during the summer.
For more information about benefits and requirements, we advise you to contact our office for clarification.
Professional Services employees are hired to perform ad-hoc or short-term tasks for a project. The pay and work schedule are up to the discretion of the employee and the contracting individual (usually a faculty member).
Professional Services employees must submit an invoice when they wish to be paid. Payment is processed twice a month, and follows the same cycle as hourly payroll: the 1st -15th and the 16th – end of month.
