  • Name
  • Email

Wireless Visitor Accounts

Several departments and centers have visiting professors or conferences, which require the generation of an account to use with UT's wireless network (referred to as 'PNA'). Only fully appointed UT faculty, staff, and students (and paid research fellows, etc) can access the UT wireless network with their EIDs; all other visitors require a PNA account (including those with guest EIDs).

If you require PNA accounts for a conference, special event, or a visiting professor, please send a request to Computer Support.

For each account, they will require the following information (preferably in a spreadsheet if there are more than a handful of requests):

  • Full Name
  • Email Address or Phone Number
  • Physical Address (home or work, include city/state/country)
  • Affiliation (ie, their home University)
  • How long the account is needed (ie, through what day)

In return, the requestor will receive a username and password for each individual.
Please provide ample time for desktop support to process these requests.

Obtain IP Addresses and DNS Information

IP address distribution and maintenance of the DNS zone files is performed by UTNIC (University of Texas Network Information Center) with assistance from Liberal Arts Network Services and departmental technical contacts.

Please submit any requests for additional IP addresses to your local Technical Support Contact or Liberal Arts Network Services. Copies of current DNS zone files will be provided to Technical Support Contacts at their request.

Subnet Information

Assigning new subnets, as well as the management of DNS zone files is done by UTNIC (University of Texas Network Information Center).
