University Blog Service

Overview

The University Blog Service is available for use by faculty and staff. The service uses the Wordpress platform. Blogs are available for individuals, groups, projects, or departments.

This service does not meet the FERPA requirements for hosting Category I data and should not be used for course-related purposes.

Create a Blog

Follow these steps to create a blog:

  1. Log in to blogs.utexas.edu with your UT EID.
  2. Request a blog through the Blog Request Form.

Faculty should note that this service does not meet FERPA requirements for hosting Category I data and should not be used for course-related purposes.

Features

  • Log in with your UT EID login information
  • Control the visibility of your blog
  • Customize the look of your blog with one of 40 available themes
  • Track statistics, including how many people have visited your blog
  • A Web address in the utexas.edu domain

University Blog Service is available at no cost to faculty and staff.
