How Do I Find the Hostname of My Machine?
To determine the proper formatted hostname for your computer(s), please execute the following command as appropriate:
Windows - run the "hostname" command from the command prompt
UNIX, Linux, and Mac OS X - run the "uname -n" command.
Note: The case of the reported information is important!
There is no charge when you update hostnames at the time you renew/purchase a MATLAB license. You will have 30 days from the date of purchase to submit hostname updates. If hostnames are updated after the initial 30 days, there will be a handling fee of $20 per incident.
