Secure Application Coding
Web application security training is a series of courses designed by ITS to teach campus developers how to secure their Web applications, regardless of platform. In addition to an overview course, there are specific classes for Java, Natural/WebAgent, and PHP.

Secure Coding in Natural/WebAgent - CS 335
Web Application Security - CS 315
This class covers common Web application security vulnerabilities and how
these vulnerabilities can be exploited. We will discuss secure coding
practices and demonstrate a tool the university has to assist in locating Web
application flaws.

Secure Coding in Java - CS 330
This class covers developing secure Web applications using Java. We will discuss security logging, input validation, encoding, authorization, authentication, prepared statements, exception handling, and other topics in the context of the Java environment. Instructors will present concepts in a lab setting.
Course Objectives
Participants will understand and be able to employ best practices and techniques for developing secure Web applications written in Java.

This class covers developing secure Web applications using Natural/WebAgent.
