8th Annual Research Day Set for April 17

Systematic inquiry takes center focus on April 17 as The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy observes its eighth annual Celebrating Pharmacy Research Excellence Day. All events scheduled in conjunction with the day are free and open to the public.  For the first time in the history of the event, presentations from the day will be open to a global audience via a live-chat function on the web.

Alumni Association Honors Four

Honorees of the 2011 College of Pharmacy Alumni Association annual awards include:

• Ms. Donna Burkett, recipient of the William J. Sheffield Outstanding Alumnus Award;
• Mr. Billy Woodward, recipient of the Legend of Pharmacy Award;
• Dr. Chris Frei (San Antonio, TX), recipient of the Distinguished Young Alumnus Award; and
• Dr. Diane Schuetze, recipient of the Wm. Arlyn Kloesel Preceptor of the Year Award.
