About the School of Undergraduate Studies

The School of Undergraduate Studies oversees the education shared by all University of Texas at Austin undergraduates. This includes maintaining a high quality core curriculum for all undergraduate students, offering strategic advising services that help students to find paths through the university that suit their academic and career interests, creating small-group learning communities and a strong first-year experience, and making UT Austin’s many resources more accessible to undergraduate students.

The School of Undergraduate Studies is also the initial home for students who choose not to select another college or school upon entering the university.
